The Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) is the joint where your Temporal bone meets your Mandible or in simple terms where your head meets your jaw. It is basically the jaw joint. It can be found just in from your ear holes.
The TMJ is a compicated joint that allows for lots of mobility in different directions. The TMJ also has a disc for cushioning just like the spine. Because of this complicated movement the TMJ is susceptible to dysfunction.
