Mobile Massage Sydney Remedial Massage Sydney Active Release Techniques Sydney
ART is a patented soft tissue technique that uses movement and pressure to release adhesions that form in muscles, ligaments and tendons. This technique is great for treating injuries and is far more effective than standard treatment protocols such as massage, physiotherapy or manipulation.
If you are frustrated with the current treatment you are getting from your practitioner and treatment style then A.R.T is the treatment that will get you results.
Why is A.R.T so different?
The major difference between A.R.T and other massage techniques is with its precision. Dr Mike Leahy has painstakingly gone over every possible muscle that is involved in a soft tissue injury and has developed a technique for realeasing the adhesion in the muscle, tendon, ligament, nerve or fascia.
Soft tissues need to glide past each other to maintain musculoskeletal health. When these tissues become "bound" up correct movement isn't possible and this is when issues can occur leading to chronic scar tissue and pain.
Soft tissue injuries can occur for many reasons. The most common are:
- overuse of an area
- sprain or strain to a muscle, tendon or ligament.
- blow to a muscle.
- from a past surgery or fracture.
Signs you may need A.R.T
- Recurring pain in a muscle
- Limited range of motion when stretching
- recurrent muscle tears or ligament sprains
- nerve pain, tingling or numbness.
Conditions A.R.T can help with
- headaches, migraines
